   AICTE has instituted AICTE-Visvesvaraya & Dr. Pritam Singh Best Teacher Award to felicitate the extraordinary teachers and recognize the excellence/best practices/innovativeness of such teachers in field of technical education at national level for degree, diploma, and management institutions.
   Both the aforesaid award i.e. AICTE-Visvesvaraya & Dr. Pritam Singh Best Teacher Award have been clubbed together and renamed as ‘National Technical Teachers` Award’ (NTTA) from Academic Year 2022-23.
   AICTE`s National Technical Teachers` Award is aimed to recognize the meritorious faculties on Teacher’s Day i.e. 5 September every year at national level and encourage them to update themselves to the ever-changing needs of higher education at global level and thereby becoming an effective contributor towards the knowledge economy.
