Invited Lecture on Service Learning Orientation

The Service Learning Orientation Programme, organised by the Department of English, Assam Don Bosco University, was designed to introduce BA 1st Semester students to the concept, significance, and practice of service learning. The programme featured an invited lecture by Dr. Bibharani Swargiary, HOD, Department of Social Work, who highlighted how meaningful community engagement can enrich academic learning, develop social responsibility, and foster a deeper understanding of real-world issues. The session aimed to empower students to connect classroom knowledge with community experiences and encouraged them to become responsible, empathetic, and engaged learners.
