About the Event

The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC), Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) is organizing an Awareness Programme on “Biosafety Awareness: Safe Practices in Biological Research and Laboratory Work” on 9th October 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Auditorium, Academic Block 1, Assam Don Bosco University. The programme aims to promote awareness and responsible practices related to biosafety, laboratory safety, risk prevention, and safe handling of biological materials and laboratory waste among faculty members, researchers, students, and other members of the university community. The programme will provide participants with practical understanding of biosafety principles and their importance in ensuring a safe research and laboratory environment. The programme will include an overview of biosafety by Prof. Jai Narain Vishwakarma, followed by a session by Prof. Arindam Chatterjee on biomedical waste handling and management.
